What to Look For

• Beehives: Abandoned wooden shacks may contain a beehive which you can destroy to drop a Queen Bee for building your own Beehive to farm Honey.
• Flint : Look for small gray stones along waterlines like beaches and riverbanks.
• Early Fine wood : Obtain Fine Wood before the bronze age by felling beech trees onto birch trees, or rolling logs into them until they break, or baiting Trolls to hit them.
• Ruins and abandoned campsites: Deconstruct existing ruins with a Hammer to gain quick resources and potentially early Core wood.

Armor

Advanced players skip Rag armor to immediately get Leather armor from Deer Hide and Boar Leather Scraps. You can also skip fully upgrading it in favor of saving resources for the Black Forest. Armor matters less here than food and a shield: a Wood shield for parrying will prevent more damage than any early armor upgrade.
